About Dr. Steiner
Dr. Steiner is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon. He specializes in the treatment of spinal disorders from the neck to the lower back including degenerative cervical and lumbar conditions such as herniated disk, radiculopathy, myelopathy, degenerative disc disease, and spondylolisthesis. He provides both conservative and surgical care of the spine and works closely with his patients to custom tailor the treatment plan for each individual, providing safe and effective treatment to alleviate pain and restore function. When all non-surgical treatments fail, Dr. Steiner provides advanced surgical options for the neck and back, utilizing both open surgeries as well as minimally invasive approaches when appropriate.
A native of New York, Dr. Steiner graduated Magna Cum Laude from Queens College, City University of New York. He obtained his medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Temple University in Philadelphia, being selected as Chief Resident in his final year. Dr. Steiner then had the privilege of completing fellowship training in spine surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, the #1 ranked hospital for orthopaedic surgery in the nation.
Dr. Steiner is a member of the North American Spine Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
