About Dr. Glait

Dr. Glait is board certified by the American Board of orthopedic surgery and holds a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand. He specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery as well as sports medicine. He is committed to providing patients with compassionate and personalized care with the goal of improving a patient's quality of life using the latest evidence-based medicine in treating orthopaedic conditions. With his extensive training, he is well versed in the latest surgical and non-surgical techniques to help reduce your pain and improve your function. 

Born in Colombia and of Argentine descent, Dr. Glait was raised in Miami and attended Coral Reef Senior High. Following high school, he attended the University of Virginia as an Echols Scholar and received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with distinction. He subsequently obtained his medical degree from the world-renown Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; one of the top medical schools in the country. During his time at Johns Hopkins, he was awarded the Board of Advisors Scholarship, participated on the admissions committee, and gained experience in orthopaedics with research and volunteer work abroad.

 

Following medical school, Dr. Glait completed a 5-year orthopaedic surgery residency program at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. Adding to his extensive training he completed two additional specialized fellowships in Sports Medicine at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

During his specialized training, Dr. Glait worked with leaders in the field of orthopaedics at NYU and the Cleveland Clinic. He has contributed to numerous articles in the medical literature including 13 peer-reviewed publications, 3 book chapters, and contributed to over 20 abstracts and multimedia/online presentations at national conferences. He also worked with collegiate teams as a team physician and was part of the Jacksonville Jaguars medical team at the NFL Combine in 2015.

Dr. Glait enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing soccer. He is also fluent in Spanish and French and excited to serve the community from which he came.
